I plan on cranking out a washer board similar to the design in the above link. I found some info on the web (cannot remember the site) for the dimensions of the board and spacing of the holes. I have two questions:
What is the distance the two boards? The pictures in the above link have a cord between them and I would like to know the distance of the cord.
What size of holes should be used if 2 1/2" washers are used?

Marmot,
we always play with 21 ft from center hole to center hole. For 2.5" washers (which are in fact the standard for the game) the hole size is 3".
if you don't use the cords to auto measure your boards, you can take some spray paint and mark a line on the side of the board even with your hole and then simply spray paint a line on the ground at 21', then you just have to line mark on the board with your line on the ground. |

2.5" washers that will work with most of the boards - seriously durable - balanced weight throughout the set and each set comes with a case. Many designs and big news in spring of 2004....
